Living in a smaller space, be it in a dorm, a studio apartment, or, for teens, their bedroom most of the time, can make it tough to keep the space organized and clutter-free.
One of the big keys to getting – and staying – organized is making use of the right storage and organization products. Those who have worked with me know that I come armed with a list of product suggestions that will make the job of home organization of any kind faster and more effective.
Because I’m usually short on time between jobs, I do a lot of my shopping on Amazon, as I can pick out what I need quickly, it will be delivered quickly, and they usually won’t give you a hard time if you need to send something back.
With this in mind, today I thought I’d share some of my favorite small space organizing products from Amazon, so you can try them out yourself as part of a small space home organization project (or, better still, hire me to come in and do it all with you.)

The Command Picture Ledge will make use of your wall space in any room to store and display anything you desire, from school supplies to keys, office supplies, and other needs, and can hold up to five pounds. These are also great for use in the bathroom, especially on the back of the door.

The space under a bed can be a lifesaver in terms of organization in a small space, especially in a dorm room, where personal storage space is often severely lacking. I love the StorageLAB Underbed Storage Fabric Containers because they are roomy and durable, but the clear top allows you to see easily what’s stored inside, and the woven fabric is a lot nicer to look at than those nondescript plastic bins.
Great Portable Storage: Novogratz Helix Utility Cart
This gorgeous, compact Novogratz Helix Utility Cart can come in handy whether you want to create a little kitchen and coffee station or need a place to keep your beauty essentials.
