A small bedroom can truly be a headache to organize. Having everything in one small space can get messy very quickly too!
Today, I’d love to share a few ways you can organize a small bedroom. These organizers will make your life easier and, hopefully, give you some inspiration.
Under Bed Shoe Drawers
Beds in our bedroom take up a large space, and so, very often, do our shoe collections. So why not make better use of the space by purchasing under bed drawers – the ones with wheels work wonderfully – and storing your shoes (neatly) in them.
You can use drawers like these to store more than shoes too. It’s a good place to keep all your sheets, towels, blankets, and other essentials that perhaps you don’t use on a daily basis.
Book Shelves Over the Bed
We often forget to use the vertical space above the bed for organized bedroom storage, and that’s a huge mistake!
Have a collection of books? Install multiple bookshelves just above your bed and keep all your books there. Not a fan of books, or have made the switch to e-books? Use the shelves to display your personal collections, favorite trinkets or other style statement pieces in a more organized, space-saving way.
Wall Hooks for Everything Important
Staying on the theme of vertical and wall storage simple wall hooks can provide storage for all kinds of things. These can be ideal for renters who are avoiding making holes in walls, as products like Command Hooks can support a lot of weight (if you buy the right ones) and you don’t need to damage your walls to install them.
Use a Pegboard to Get Accessories Organized
The right pegboard is great as a design piece, but it also has a crucial organization function. You can make use of jewelry pieces own clasps and fastenings, or simple ribbon to hang all your favorite jewelry pieces from a peg board and doing so will help you not only organize your jewelry and accessories but keep them all tangle free as well.
Door Hanging Organizer
Something as simple as a fabric door organizer can help you to increase organized storage in your small bedroom. They are great for lighter books, notepads, makeup products and even underwear. What’s more , they are cheap, functional and usually very easy to install.
Closet Drawers for Organizing Clothes
Portable closet drawers are budget-friendly and can give you the ability to organize all your underwear, socks, shirts and accessories.
The best of them do take a lot of space and isn’t very high, so you can easily fit it under hanging clothes or closet shelves. They look great too, especially when keeping them organized is so easy.
Rolling Carts Can Be Your Small Bedroom Storage Best Friend
When you have a small space, anything that moves is super convenient. That way, you can always move it when you need extra space.
For this reason, you should have at least one rolling storage cart in your small bedroom. There are lots of types of mobile carts available so you should be able to find one to suit your bedroom decor as well as your organizational needs.
Use a Platform Bed
If you don’t mind having a slightly raised bed, then a platform bed could be your solution to limited storage space. The idea is to mount a slat bed frame onto sturdy pieces featuring cube storage shelves or even a desk and small closet to maximize the under-bed space.
Now you may have had something similar to this as a teenager, but platform beds are available that are very grown up, and super stylish that are in no way childish at all!
